Canada Crushed Red River Rebellion, Continues to Oppress Métis People

The Red River Rebellion was supposed to result in the creation of a Metis government which could enter into confederation while guaranteeing their cultural and land rights.

This rebellion was brutally crushed by the young Canadian government, including forces which would go on to form the RCMP.

The Metis were not satisfied with the outcome of this rebellion and the creation of the province of Manitoba. They were forced further west, only to be brutally put down once again in the North-West rebellion of 1885.

The Metis nation will not be a prop of settler-colonialism, fuck the 150th!
